Nobu Restaurant in the Waiea condo building

Waiea condo welcomes Nobu restaurant to Kakaako

A Nobu restaurant opened and is one of the many exciting features of the Waiea condo building. The Waikiki Nobu is moving its original location from Waikiki to a larger ground floor place at the Waiea. The time is finally here. Chef Nobu Matsuhisa opened the restaurant a week ago.

President Barack and Michelle Obama dined there last week. It has been a popular place already. Many of the Waiea owners are enjoying room service from the restaurant as well.

The famous chef and restauranteur has been operating successful restaurants all around the world for 30 years with initial encouragement from Robert De Niro, a regular customer. And now, he is bringing that magic and expertise to the Kakaako area of Honolulu, Hawaii.

When asked in a recent interview what was it that compelled him to open Nobu in Kakaako? “ This area is completely new and exciting. I feel like Oahu is changing and Ward Village is becoming a big draw for the city. My feeling is that Ward Village is at the heart of Honolulu’s transformation and we wanted to be a part of this development.”

Now the best part: Waiea residents will be able to order room service from the restaurant. An onsite high end restaurant perhaps the most luxurious amenity of them all. Many new residents are looking forward to taking advantage of ordering from Nobu.
